Is anyone planning to give Mi fortuna es amarte a try? I don’t have very high expectations for DZ, but Susana Gonzalez usually gives a great performance.
It’s a solid maybe for me.
I love Susana Gonzalez in everything, but just can’t get past my complete indifference toward DZ.
Right now I’m letting SG outweigh DZ. I’m finding I can tolerate him if he’s surrounded by a cast I like.
And on that note- I think when I first watched LFDD I was unfair in my assessment of Sandra Echeverria. Having seen her in La Usurpadora I know she can act, but I think DZ doesn’t really have chemistry with anyone…unless he’s playing the villain. It’s such a shame he won’t embrace the darker roles.
I never really appreciated Sandra, until I saw her in “Tu cara me suena,” where she had to imitate a variety of famous singers. Not only does she have a good voice, but she was super charismatic and personable. I became an instant fan. BTW, another person who really shone on that program was Chantal Andere. There must be something about her looks that gets her typecast as a villain, because her personality is pure sunshine. She is funny and incredibly talented.
I’m still watching La Fuerza del Destino.
Not sure what constitutes “holding up” but I’m really enjoying it and it doesn’t even bother me that it’s two hours a day. I do think there’s some editing going on and that annoys me, especially since I think the Antolin and Carolina story is getting a lot of the edits.
I meant holding up like not seeming out of date in a way that takes you out of the story.
I mean, some of the characters have out dated ideas and attitudes but so do real life people.
I’m just surprised I’m enjoying the rewatch. I almost never rewatch telenovelas. Not sure why this one is the one I’m most interested in watching again.
La Vecina is back on Galavision starting today.
I wanted to see it and I asked YouTubeTV to record it but it didn’t. I’m going to see if I can figure out what happened.
I read this and though “crap, I didn’t record it!” but since I never cleared out the preset recording from the last two times it was on there it was!
