This has been a rough week. Human rights are not negotiable. The government just needs to get its collective head out of its ass and recognize that. I wish I had something more eloquent to say, but I’m just too pissed off at people who are rejoicing about putting human lives in danger…yes, I mean forced-birthers, homophobes and transphobes, people who don’t care who gets screwed over as long as they make a profit. I’m especially pissed off at how this is all affecting kids. What common ground is there to be found with people whose primary objective is to control everyone who isn’t like them?
Anyway. I don’t have it in me to update the schedule stuff. I shared a few things on Twitter (you can read them in the sidebar without needing to have a Twitter account, but also I think you can read them on Twitter without an account), the most intriguing being the launching of ViX+ in July. They’re going to have their own programming, so yay for variety?
I just watched the end of Mi fortuna es amarte and I felt that it was both too slow and too fast. The comeuppances of our villains were needlessly bloody, but I guess the effects crew won a bet. I really really hate when inpatient psychiatric care is presented as a place to lock up the ‘crazies’ and not a place where healing can happen.
Well, it took me a couple of weeks, but I finally came to the same conclusion that Kat reached after a half hour: Infiel is not worth my time! I’ve dropped it after realizing that watching it was making me miserable. Detestable characters and depressing situations “sin una pizca de humor.” I wouldn’t have minded so much if it were a short novela, but it runs at least 120 hours.
You were more generous than that show deserved!
FYI, Telemundo has been running very short promos for La reina del sur 3.
Given recent developments, I guess we can be relieved that all the women who will be seeking backstreet abortions can feel perfectly safe, since they’ll be able to carry firearms down those dark alleys.
Because Stand Your Ground laws have been so effective in protecting women who were acting in self-defense!
