Y’all, I have no idea what’s going on on TV. It’s a giant cascade of moving and ending shows and bringing new ones in early. Amor Valiente is going to 2 hours a night for who knows how long before Telemundo brings in another Turkish show with a plot based on BBC’s Doctor Foster. Univision started La Mexicana y el Güero and I’ve heard not a peep about it, not that I’ve been paying attention.
Mostly I’m watching La Vecina (on the Univision site) and the second season of La Reina del Sur (on Netflix).
Kat, do you know if Amor valiente got moved? Monday night, La casa de los famosos was on for 3 hours, and there was no mention of why AV wasn’t on.
Were they maybe trying to compete with the extra hour of Mi Fortuna Es Amarte? They only had an hour of overlap. It looks like it’s back tomorrow.
Never mind—false alarm! Looks like it was just one night.
I’m a little wary of this novela, Infiel. The original British series was only 10 hourlong episodes. According to Wikipedia, this novela has 60 episodes of 120 minutes each. Sounds like a compact story got really stretched out.
I made it halfway through the first episode, but I just don’t like any of the characters. A doctor being that distracted at work to where she just can’t help her mind from wandering to the suspicion that her husband is cheating on her both bothered me as a person with chronic illness and as a woman. Like yeah, she’s a badass doctor and stuff, but she’s still a woman and we all know how chicks get, you know what I’m saying?
F that.
Those scenes where she completely tuned out her patients were infuriating and insulting! And she comes off in other scenes as someone with an entitlement complex.
That Turkish novela, Infiel: historia de un engaño, begins on Telemundo June 13 at 10 PM.
