This has been a rough week. Human rights are not negotiable. The government just needs to get its collective head out of its ass and recognize that. I wish I had something more eloquent to say, but I’m just too pissed off at people who are rejoicing about putting human lives in danger…yes, I mean forced-birthers, homophobes and transphobes, people who don’t care who gets screwed over as long as they make a profit. I’m especially pissed off at how this is all affecting kids. What common ground is there to be found with people whose primary objective is to control everyone who isn’t like them?

Anyway. I don’t have it in me to update the schedule stuff. I shared a few things on Twitter (you can read them in the sidebar without needing to have a Twitter account, but also I think you can read them on Twitter without an account), the most intriguing being the launching of ViX+ in July. They’re going to have their own programming, so yay for variety?

I’m gonna start this off with a complaint about Disney+. This is the second time a (coincidentally) Karol Sevilla show has had a publicized release date, and not until that date did they say “in Latin America and Spain.” That’s important information! Especially when I made plans!

So anyway, we horrible estadounidenses are waiting for Siempre fui yo to drop on July 20.

Does anybody know what happened to Hasta que la plata nos separe? It looks like they’re starting a rerun of La Doña in that 1pm spot.

On June 23, Telemundo and NBC Universo are showing Premios Tu Música Urbano in the evening.

There’s a rerun of Pájaro soñador starting on Monday on UniMás. I watched a lot of that show when it aired last time. I thought it felt fresh, but after the millionth break-up I quit. I might watch it this time with copious amounts of FF. Maybe.

Y’all, I have no idea what’s going on on TV. It’s a giant cascade of moving and ending shows and bringing new ones in early. Amor Valiente is going to 2 hours a night for who knows how long before Telemundo brings in another Turkish show with a plot based on BBC’s Doctor Foster. Univision started La Mexicana y el Güero and I’ve heard not a peep about it, not that I’ve been paying attention.

Mostly I’m watching La Vecina (on the Univision site) and the second season of La Reina del Sur (on Netflix).

Well, Telemundo flinched. Hasta que la plata nos separe is being moved to afternoons at 1/12 pm and they’re starting Amor Valiente Monday the 23rd (NOT the 31st) at 9/8 pm. Was Hasta really that bad?

UniMás has two reruns starting afternoons Monday, Teresa and La féa mas bella.

Soltero con hijas is in últimos capítulos on Univision. La Mexicana y el güero replaces it in the 8/7pm spot on the 31st.

June 13 Mujer de nadie premieres on Las Estrellas. It’s produced by Giselle González, 45 episodes, Rosa María Bianchi’s in it (after taking a six year break).

Sometime in June, Disney+ is premiering Siempre fui yo, a murder/mystery show starring Karol Sevilla.

I’ve been watching a completely trashy reality show on Netflix, Insiders. It was shot in Spain, so there are lots of regional Spanish accents and slang and cussing. The whole thing is just psychological manipulation, as if someone realized they could run seriously unethical psychology experiments by calling it a reality show. A second season dropped yesterday. Yes, I’m going to watch it. No, I’m not going to feel bad about myself for doing it.

Abortion saves lives. Abortion is healthcare and government should stay out of it. Keep abortion legal and safe.

Monday night there are 2 2-hour finales on Telemundo: Exatlón and Hercai.

Tuesday night there are 2 2-hour premieres: La Casa de los Famosos and Hasta que la plata nos separe.

Keep in mind that this isn’t a men/women issue. There are people of all genders who have uteruses. Not all women have uteruses. It’s ok to say “people who have uteruses” when that’s more accurate than “women.”

Y’all I am sad about Hercai ending and I would re-watch it in Turkish if I had the opportunity. It was that good.

I think at this point on Telemundo I’m waiting for Amor Valiente to begin. I just hope it’s amor and valentia, you know? We have a date now–May 31 and it’s replacing Pasión de Gavilanes 2.

Not your uterus, not your business. Make your own healthcare decisions based on your own moral code and don’t try to foist that moral code off on anyone else. Nobody needs demonstrably biology-ignorant lawmakers trying to get between them and their healthcare provider.

Tuesday, UniMás replaces its afternoon rerun of La Fuerza del Destino with Rubí (the older version).

La Hija del Embajador, final season starts on 5/2 in place of Las mil y una noches.

When Hasta que el dinero nos separe starts on Telemundo, it’s taking over from Hercai on May 10, which seems like a really bad idea. They’re also starting season 2 of La Casa de Los Famosos on that day. There’s another Turkish show, Amor Valiente, slated for May, but with no date. If they want to push to turn everything over on the same night, that means Pasión de Gavilanes would have to wrap up quickly.

Univision has got El útimo rey set up to begin on 5/17 in place of Madre. This is the version with Pablo Montero based on the book of the same name, and the family is not happy with this one.

We finally saw a promo for La Reina del Sur 3 coming soon.

Amazon Prime has a remake of I Love Lucy, Todo por Lucy, dropping on 5/20.

SOS me estoy enamorando starts at 3pm on Univision on Monday. It’s Marcelo Cordoba, so I’m in for at least the first few episodes.

Parientes a la fuerza has apparently ended on Telemundo?

Querida enemiga comes to Univision tlnovelas on April 4, replacing Velo de novia.

Clocks move this weekend. Not for me, but since everyone else’s clocks are moving I still have to know what time it is everywhere else.

The perpetual suckiness of the world has definitely got me down. I have no advice except…hang in there, take opportunities to help where you can, and don’t get caught in a worry spiral because that helps no one. (Oh, wait, that was advice, wasn’t it?)
